English Beyond Grammar
Advanced English for Greek Speakers
You can speak English fluently and still sound too direct, miss what someone is really asking or have your words interpreted completely differently from how you intended.
Knowing the words doesn't mean that you're communicating effectively.
That's what we're going to work on.
Your English is good. But are you always saying what you mean?
What makes these classes different?
We'll use real conversations and situations to explore the subtleties of English, particularly where Greek and English communication habits differ.
You'll work on:
Natural expression: Say what you mean without translating directly from Greek.
Fluency and confidence: Speak more comfortably and spontaneously.
Grammar and accuracy: Identify and correct the mistakes you actually make.
Meaning and nuance: Understand what's being communicated, even when it isn't said directly.
Real communication: Practice requests, feedback, disagreement, and everyday conversations.
No generic textbook lessons. Just practical, challenging English designed around how you actually communicate.
Small groups. Lots of speaking.
Maximum 5 students per group.
These classes are for adults who already speak English at approximately B2–C1+ level and want to take it further.

I'm a native English speaker, language teacher, and cross-cultural communication specialist with over ten years of teaching experience and a background in linguistics.
Through Gateway to Greek, I explore the differences between what we say, what we mean, and what other people understand.
Now we're bringing that approach into the classroom.
